Afgelopen weekend overkwam het me. Ik was mijn pashouder verloren met 6 pasjes erin: de OV-Chipkaart, de museumkaart, de alarmpas, mijn ANWB lidmaatschapskaart, mijn Rabo bankpas en mijn rijbewijs. Ook zat er nog een visitekaartje van mij in. Eerst alles thuis doorzoeken: niets gevonden. Het lijkt erop dat ik het tijdens mijn dagelijkse boodschappenrondje op de fiets ben kwijtgeraakt. Waarschijnlijk uit mijn broekzak gevallen. En dit terwijl ik juist de afgelopen week een aantal airtags had aangeschaft om dit te vermijden. Een airtag is een rond apparaatje ter grootte van een 2 euromunt, die je kunt koppelen aan de app: ‘Vind mijn iPhone’. Op een eenvoudige wijze kun je zo’n tag koppelen en vervolgens kun je de tag opsporen via de app op je telefoon of tablet. Zo kun je bagage, je huisdier -mits uitgerust met een riem- je sleutels of je portemonnee opsporen. Net te laat dus.
En dan volgt de vraag: waar moet ik mijn vermissing aangeven? Bij gebrek aan een ouderwets politiebureau blijkt dat je digitaal je vermissing moet aangeven bij ilost.nl. Dit kan via de gemeentesite. In mijn geval ben ik dus een pasjeshouder kwijt. De website van iLost gaat direct kijken of iets met de omschrijving wat je geeft is gevonden in je gemeente. In mijn geval dus niets. Het is dus de bedoeling dat eerlijke vinders de gevonden voorwerpen op de balie van het gemeentehuis komen afgeven. Ik hoop dat je geen afspraak hiervoor hoeft te maken. Als er zaken gevonden zijn worden ze ook wel gemeld op gevondenofverloren.nl. Deze site is iets gebruiksvriendelijker, maar bij beide digitale initiatieven krijg ik geen bevredigend gevoel. Er is letterlijk niemand die op zoek gaat naar een verloren voorwerp en ik vraag me sterk af of iemand wel de moeite neemt om het af te geven op het gemeentehuis. Wel zie ik af en toe op een facebooksite een afbeelding van een bankpas vol persoonsgegevens staan met de vraag of iemand die kwijt is. Dat is wel het laatste wat je moet doen. Dit is tegen alle privacyregels en is schieten met een schot hagel. Bij het vinden van een bankpasje moet je gewoon de bank bellen die de pas heeft uitgegeven.
Daar zat ik dan zonder pasjes. Eerst de bankpas blokkeren. De pas heb je eigenlijk niet nodig want ik betaal met e-Watch of iPhone. Maar hier kan misbruik van worden gemaakt omdat je tot een bepaald bedrag zaken kan afrekenen. De museumkaart en OV-chipkaart kun je eenvoudig digitaal melden en opnieuw aanvragen. Met betalen ben je ervan af. Het alarmpasje is alleen een nummer en een telefoonnummer. Die bleek uit de administratie nog tevoorschijn te halen te zijn, dus zelf maar een pasje gemaakt. Ook de ANWB-pas was geen probleem. Met het installeren van een persoonlijk gemaakte app kun je de pas digitaal maken. Het rijbewijs was nog het lastigste.
Ik toog naar het gemeentehuis nog met het idee dat ik daar mijn volledige vermissing van pasjeshouder en pasjes kon aangeven, maar ik kwam bedrogen uit. Ik werd verwezen naar de eerdergenoemde websites en voor het verlies van het rijbewijs moest ik een afspraak maken, waarbij tevens een nieuwe aanvraag kon worden gedaan. Dat kon op zijn vroegst de volgende dag – weer een dag verloren- en niet vergeten: actuele pasfoto’s meenemen.
De volgende dag dus naar het gemeentehuis. Nadat ik aan de beurt was duurde het nog geen vijf minuten voordat ik weer buiten stond, ruim 4 tientjes armer. Waarom maakt men voor zo’n standaardhandeling een afspraak? De tijd voor het maken van de afspraak is bijna net zolang als het opnemen van de vermissing en het aanvragen van een nieuw rijbewijs. Je krijgt een bewijsje mee dat je aangifte hebt gedaan en een afhaalbriefje om het nieuwe rijbewijs over minimaal vijf werkdagen op te halen. Even opletten: je mag geen auto, bromfiets of motor besturen in de tussentijd. Uiterst vreemd, want met het afhaalbriefje kun je toch aantonen dat je geautoriseerd zou mogen rijden? De ambtenaar die mij volgende week het rijbewijs overhandigt wisselt dit nieuwe persoonsdocument ook in tegen hetzelfde briefje. Dus ook nog eens een verplicht weekje fietsen. Jammer genoeg is het weer een stuk minder dan vorige week. Veel thuis blijven dus.
Er is geen misbruik gemaakt van de pasjes, zover ik weet. Het kan dus zomaar zijn dat de pasjeshouder weer ergens boven water komt in een oude sok of in de tuin.
Ik heb nu een pasjeshouder gekocht waarop een airtag kan worden bevestigd. Dat heb ik dan ook gedaan. De meeste instanties blijken lekker vlot met het vervangen van de pasjes. Zowel de nieuwe museumkaart, de bankpas als de OV-chipkaart zijn inmiddels binnen.
Alleen de onder overheidstoezicht staande RDW moet er ruim een week over doen.
Ik had niet anders verwacht.
